Free for a limited time

MemeCAD is in early access. There is one plan, it costs nothing, and it includes everything. We'd rather you used it, pushed it hard and told us what's missing.

After early access (planned)

To be announced

  • A free tier will remain for viewing, editing and exporting
  • Paid plans will cover team features and heavy cloud usage
  • Early-access accounts will be told first and keep their drawings

Nothing here is final. The point of early access is to find out what people need before we put prices on it.

What we promise

Notice before anything changes

If the free period ends or limits are introduced, every account holder gets an email well in advance. No surprise paywalls on a drawing you opened yesterday.

Your files stay yours

Downloading your drawings as DXF, PDF and CSV will always be free. There is no lock-in: DXF opens in AutoCAD and every other CAD package.

Open source

The whole application is GPL-3.0 on GitHub. If you prefer, host it yourself on Railway, Vercel or Docker with the configuration in the repository.

No tricks

No trial countdown, no watermark on your PDFs, no "upgrade to save". Early access is simply free.

Questions

Why is it free?

Because the product is young and we learn more from a thousand real drawings than from a dozen paying customers. The early-access period lets us fix what matters before charging for it.

How long is "a limited time"?

We don't put a date on it, on purpose – it ends when the product is ready for paid plans, and you'll hear from us well before then. The free period will not end without notice.

Is there a limit on drawings or file size?

No fixed limit today. Very large DWG files (hundreds of thousands of objects) can be slow to convert to DWG on the server; DXF export always works.

Do I need an account?

An account (Google or email) is needed for cloud saving so your drawings follow you between computers. A self-hosted copy can run without accounts and save to the browser only.

Can my company use it?

Yes. Commercial use is allowed. If you need an invoice, single sign-on or a private deployment, get in touch through the GitHub repository.
